Fundraising - The Raffle

Glencoe Football Players,

Each spring during our week of practice we have a fundraiser.  We need these funds to be able to do some of the special things that separate our program form from others in the state.  This year, like prior years, we are raffling off a trip for two to go to Las Vegas.  Each of you will receive fifty tickets and you are expected to sell all of them.  You are to turn in your raffle tickets and money by May 30th, the day before the Chicken & Bean Bowl.  The drawing will be at the BBQ following the game on May 31st.

Here is some information you need to know!

  1. Things people will ask
    • trip to Las Vegas is for two people
    • 3 days, 2 nights motel and air fare paid
    • They can choose the dates they want to go
  2. Who and how to sell the tickets
    • try not to have your parents buy any of the tickets unless they really want to ( they buy enough stuff for you )
    • often times your parents can do a great job of selling for you—ask them to take some tickets to work—they might sell a bunch
    • Grandparents, Relatives, Neighbors are great people to ask
  3. How Much?
    • Each ticket costs three dollars
  4. Incentives
    •   All players are to sell a minimum of fifty tickets—By selling at least fifty, you will not have to buy your practice jersey in the fall (a twenty-five dollar item)
    • If you sell 100 tickets, besides getting your practice jersey free, you will not have to pay to go to football camp ( a seventy five dollar value)
